#13 new enhancement

kernelUD(): grid extent insufficent with anisotropic datasets > causes error in getverticeshr()

Reported by: Anne Ghisla Owned by: Clément Calenge
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: Adehabitat Version:
Keywords: kernelUD, getverticeshr, grid, extent Cc:

when running kernelUD() on a particular dataset, where locations are scattered along a horizontal line, the grid calculated by the function seems too small on Y axis, therefore larger isopleths fall outside the grid.
This causes getverticeshr() to raise an error (probably in contourLines() call):

Error in re[[i]] : subscript out of bounds

would it be possible to get a more clear error message, or to catch this error earlier?

I attach a sample dataset to replicate this situation.

many thanks in advance
